"These two volumes form a book about a particular aspect of what I made, namely series linking women and theory. I organised the texts that were once written about and around my women's series and placed them in the context of the works they are about and also with what I myself wrote about them.
It was my intention to publish this book only in Dutch, but now that I am collaborating with Stockmans publishers, an English version will be published simultaneously.
This is a long-term project (2011-2023), I started by grouping what I wrote and published myself chronologically around 33 consecutive women's series I made between 1981 and 2016. That time span marks the period when I started club moral with danny devos and simultaneously also started exhibiting at the Zeno X Gallery.
2016 is the year of my first major retrospective at Museum Abteiberg, Mönchengladbach.
I confronted my own writings with texts that appeared as reflections and critiques on my works. Then came interviews, followed by exposés by curators and historians. This gives insight into interactions between inspiration, art activity, self-reflection on the one hand and feedback and contextualisation on the other.
The hard drive on which I started collecting all the documents to be used I called Everything = Good.
When you add up everything from anything, you end up with something good. Just that it happened."
